About

Hi, I’m Alex. I’m a senior at Dartmouth College studying Computer Science. Since I was young, the speed of planes has always captivated me, and I’ve wanted to pilot an ever since I was 7. As such, many of my research interests revolve around deep learning generalization, optimization, and quantization. I believe the most important problem in AI is safety, which is why much of my research focuses on using optimization techniques to make AI interpretable.

In my free time I enjoy learning about tanks, oil painting, spray painting, scale modeling, and jazz piano improvisation.
